Normal Christianity

What does a "normal" Christian look like? This question should be asked. To find the answer, we only have to look to the book of Acts. Look to Paul. Look to Phillip. Look to Silas. Look to Barnabas. Look to Peter and John.

Normal Christianity is vibrant and alive. It is city-shaking and world-changing, and life-altering. It cannot be contained and it cannot be put down. The normal Christian life is a life overflowing. It is a life that is full of joy when in prison. It is a life that sings when facing certain death. It is a life that wakes early in the morning and works until it is dark for the sake of others. It is a life patterned after The Life which is Jesus Christ! It is not a perfect life, but it is a forgiven life. It is a hard life, but it is the blessed life.

In other words, normal Christianity is nothing like the weak, pathetic version found in most evangelical churches in America. True Christianity causes it's followers to become increasing like Jesus Christ. Nothing else will do. In the end, nothing else will matter.

In Christ,
Scott
